In-Person Programs

Junior Gardeners (in-person)

Buzz on over to Kidzu’s Learning Garden on Thursday mornings! We will get our hands dirty as we play, explore and care for our garden and discover the plants and critters that live there. Children, caregivers and community members are invited to come help us maintain our beautiful new outdoor space during this program. All ages welcome.

Parents’ Night Out (in-person)

Parents, you deserve a night out! Leave the childcare to us! Kids will enjoy a fun – filled night, including exhibit play & exploration, a staff led activity, and dinner from Alfredo’s Pizza Villa. This is a drop-off event is currently for children ages 3 – 9 (must be potty independent) from 6:00 – 9:00pm on select Fridays and Saturdays each month.

Remaining 2021 Dates: Friday November 5th, Saturday November 20th, Friday December 3rd, Saturday December 18th. To register, click here. 

Storytime (in-person)

Rollick & Read: Thursdays, 4PM 
To “rollick” is to MOVE with joy! So, move it each Thursday to the Forest Theater for stories that will really get you jumping, stretching or dancing! This movement-based storytime will incorporate reading and movement. Themes and stories will change weekly. Perfect for PreK – 2nd grade.

Stories & Songs: Tuesdays & Fridays, 11AM 
Join us in the Forest Theater to read, sing and play! Stories & Songs is a fun early literacy experience, perfect for for toddlers and preschoolers. Will spotlight different books and themes.

Monthly Free Garden Parties (in-person)

Join us for crafts and full family fun in our Outdoor Learning Garden! Runs from June – November.

Center Theater Company’s Fall Season (in-person)

Shakespeare said, “All the world’s a stage,” and now that includes Kidzu! We are thrilled to announce that Kidzu will host Center Theater Company’s Fall 2021 Season! Space is limited, so sign up now to be a part of Center Theater’s productions of Dracula, Peter Pan, and Disney’s Descendants, The Musical! It all starts in late August at Kidzu.

Jammin’ Baby Music Classes (in-person)

Mixed ages music and movement classes begin September 14th! Classes meet weekly at Kidzu on Tuesday mornings for children ages 0 to 5 years.

Adaptive Play: Sensory Friendly Night

This FREE monthly program is for children with different needs and developmental disabilities. Families explore Kidzu without the stimulation of the typical museum visit. We provide adaptive equipment such as noise-reducing headphones, sand timers, fidget toys, and visual schedules. Masks required for all. Temperature checks taken at the door. Preregistration required. This program is limited to 10 total participants, including caregivers and siblings. More information can be found here.

Virtual Programs

Virtual Supported Playgroups

Join Kidzu for Kaleidoscope Play and Learn Play Groups! Kidzu’s supported playgroups will be held via Zoom on Wednesdays 9AM – 10AM for 8 weeks, from August 18 – October 6 for Orange County caregivers and children ages birth – 3 years old. These FREE, VIRTUAL playgroups will provide Orange County infants, toddlers, and their caregivers the chance to network and learn from each other and early childhood experts.
